Due to their expertise, these transferees contribute economic benefits to Canada and are exempt from the Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) requirement. However, they must obtain a work permit to work in Canada. The ICT Program allows transferees to reside in Canada temporarily, with potential options for permanent residency pathways.
